My List

So, I've talked about it before and now its time to blog about it.

my bucket list

...now I have two types of bucket lists. 1) My so-not-happening-but-why-not-write-it-down bucket list and 2) My very short realistic bucket list!
Right now I will show you my realist one because I've been thinking about it a lot lately!
So here goes...hopefully one day it will be completed

Things I will need for my bucket list to be complete:
Go Pro HD camera
My Nikon D90
& and Awesome (kick butt) playlist

#1 See all the lighthouses in North Carolina:
There is just something about lighthouses that I love and this has been on my list for the longest time, and it doesn't seem to unrealistic if i do say so myself!

#2 Visit my family in Dachau, Germany (and learn to speak German a little better before I go)
3rd photo down is where Germany, France, and Switzerland's borders meet

#3 Rope Swing...I still can't believe I haven't done this!

#4 ROAD TRIP WITH MY FRIENDS!!!
...anywhere
...anytime

#5 Okay, obviously I wouldn't look like that while doing this...
Cliff Dive (or rather, cliff jump-like-a-maniac-and-pray-you-get-through-this-alive-dive)

#6 This next one has all to do with being in the right place at the right time.
I think it was a year ago when my brother sent me a picture of Navarre, FL that looks very similar to this picture. Ever since that picture I have wanted to be on the beach when this happens!

#7 Fly in first class to somewhere exotic! nuff said :)

#8 You are probably thinking, how does she think this is realistic...
and it's totally not.
I just really really really wanna ride an elephant!
& no it is not because of the movie water for elephants because this has been on my bucket list before I even knew about that!

#9 Go sailing. Just. Like. That. :)

last, but not least...
#10
The picture speaks for itself

...maybe it was longer than i thought...
welp, thats all folks

Here's To New Interests!

My Graphic Design class has really been the class to get me through this semester. I absolutely love it and it has inspired me to become more creative. I have recently discovered that photoshop is more than editing pictures, and it has allowed me to create designs that I never knew I would be able to do if I had not taken this Graphics class. It almost makes me think i chose the wrong major! Welp! Im all in on business so im not changing now! :) In high school i used to create little designs with a pencil on a sheet of paper while i should have been listening, and this is kind of my way of doing that now! It keeps me sane. I just play around on photoshop and come up with simple designs. There was one design I was determined to figure out how to make and finally I figured it out! I was so happy! So, here's a couple of designs I've made this semester!

...I really need to change up my colors...haha

Home Is Where You Are

This spring semester I have been taking a Graphics class where I have learned how to use InDesign and Photoshop more. Westin calls it my "Arts and Crafts" class, but I need that this semester with all the business classes I am taking. Right now we are creating an eight page brochure on anything we want, and I chose to do my dream home. So, thanks to pinterest and a new obsession (http://www.houzz.com/), I was able to put together a make believe dream home! :) this is just a rough draft

...and this is totally make believe...not even close to reality

Exterior:
I like the brick/stone on the right and the garage!

Front Porch:
Whether it be the lake, or even a little pond, I would love to live by the water someday

Entryway:

Office:
I love the double, but somewhat separate desks for an office space!

or have a little space for crafts

Piano Room:
this is the BIG dream for me
I would love a piano room like this...nice and open (no doors) and a lovely couch for relaxation!

Living Room:
My favorite color is seafoam green and i feel like it is such a relaxing color but also keeps the room looking fresh!

this would be my chair:

and of course a fireplace

Kitchen:
No matter what I want an island in my kitchen!

those stripes=love
take note of that amazing table cloth

Laundry Room:
(hideaway)
I wish I could have someone always do my laundry...for life.

The Master Bedroom and Bathroom:
I love the wood, and the bathroom is so different but i love it!

brick

The Kids' Rooms:

 Bonus Room:
I love the built in bunk beds (2 photos down)!

The Back Yard:
I want a fun place to hang out with friends and family and have get togethers!

there ya' go folks
home sweet home

Simply Nikki :)

I decided to make this blog just for personal use. I have wanted to start one just for me for a while now and I finally sat down, designed a background and picture (that you can see at the top!), and I did it! I made me a blog :)

Just a little bit about me to start:
I'm 19, turning 20 in April
I have an awesome twin! she's the best :)
I love D.I.Y.
Im obsessed with the beach and all things nautical.
I like deep sea fishing...especially when the sun is coming up over the water.
My favorite things to do are playing softball,
learning about photography and graphic design,
(i hate to say this but...) i love to go shopping...especially when mama's paying :)
My favorite magazines are filled with home decor and cute spaces and ways to organize!
I love my friends and family!
If I could do anything right now I would be traveling around the world (with my camera) and I would be checking off my bucket list...but thats a blog post for later.
